Why we chose ARTiFACT TRAC^TM:

We first heard about the software during a presentation at the 2005 AAM Conference in Indianapolis. After a site visit to the Walker Art Center, we decided that

ARTiFACT TRAC^TM was the best choice for implementing RFID at the museum. We liked the ease of use, compatibility and expansion possibilities that ARTiFACT TRAC^TM offered.

What ARTiFACT TRAC^TM has done for us:

We have completed the tagging of a test collection of two and three-dimensional artwork and now we will move on to expanding the RFID to the rest of the collection.  Also, with the next phase of our implementation, we will be able to complete instant location changes which will be a tremendous help with inventory projects.  Keeping track of a collection of over 140,000 objects is not an easy task, but with RFID it will be much easier, efficient and accurate.

Conclusion:

The ARTiFACT TRAC^TM software is very user friendly and straightforward.  We are very excited about the expanded uses of RFID at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and we look forward to working with Northern Apex in this endeavor!

Why we chose ARTiFACT TRAC^TM:

Walker Art Center came to Northern Apex after attempts to find an RFID solution using larger, inflexible RFID integrators. Northern Apex had the ability to listen to and accurately assess our needs and to create an easy to use, yet powerful RFID system that is fully integrated with our collections management system.

The use of ARTiFACT TRAC^TM has eliminated the human-error, persistent in manual data-entry location systems, increasing our efficiency.

We recently completed a works on paper inventory in 1/3 of the time

that the project took prior to having an RFID system, with less handling of works in the collection and guaranteed data integrity.

Conclusion:

Since installing our system in 2004, Northern Apex has consistently worked with us to increase the functionality of our system and provided updates and new releases of ARTiFACT TRAC^TM. Northern Apex is a rare development company that has an equal commitment to its product and clients.
